Overview
Our BSc (Hons) Chemistry with Biomedicine with a Year’s Professional Placement will give you a strong theoretical and experimental understanding of chemistry, with an additional year’s internship in a major UK company to allow you to apply your education, and assess your career choices, in the workplace. This degree is designed to train the next generation of articulate, flexible and biomedically aware chemists for a wide variety of careers starting with chemical, biotech and pharmaceutical industries and extending to wider careers eg finance, law and media.

The parent BSc Chemistry with Biomedicine course is accredited by the Royal Society for Chemistry, with research-enriched teaching delivered by chemists working within a very broad range of chemical, biomedical and health applications.

Each course is divided into modules. Each year you will normally take modules totalling 120 credits, except for the third year which includes a 30 credit module in addition to your placement.
