Child Care and Education : CACHE Level 3 Diploma

The course consists of 3 days of study in college and, as practical workplacements are an integral part of the course, you will spend 2 days in child care and educational settings.

You will learn about children's growth and development, how to care for and educate children, about about working with their parents and other professionals.

You will need to complete a mixture of core mandatory units  and optional units covering an age range from birth to 16 years.

Throughout the 2 years students will cover a range of mandatory units such as


Caring for children
Supporting children
Keeping children safe
Play and learning


They will also need to complete 3 optional units in their second year.  Students are also required to keep records of their placements and keep a portfolio of diary tasks which should be completed throughout the 2 years.
