Childcare Learning and Development NVQ Level 3

What is covered:

This course is mainly aimed at practitioners who have some experience in working in a childcare setting or who have achieved A-levels. The course focuses on being proactive in implementing and promoting good practice. This will qualify the candidate to take a supervisory role in a nursery.

Learners must complete 5 mandatory and 4 optional units. Units include; Developing and promoting positive relationships, Promoting Children's Development and Protecting and Promoting children's rights.

How are you assessed:

You will be observed in the workplace and will be expected to complete written assignments on each unit. Teaching of underpinning knowledge takes place through evening classes or via e-learning.

How long is the course:

15-18 months

Learners are able to start at any time throughout the year.
