Candidates are expected to be working in a childcare setting and should have at least 1 years experience of working with children. Within their role candidates will be expected to plan and manage activities, liaise with parents and demonstrate an awareness of the policies of the setting.

Duration
1 year of college sessions and assessment with a following year to complete portfolio

Method of Study
There will be 17 underpinning knowledge sessions at college and assessment in the workplace by a qualified assessor. Candidates will compile a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate competence and knowledge of all aspects of working with young children.
