Cache Level 3 Diploma in Childcare & Education

The Council for Awards in Children's Care and Education (CACHE) Level 3 Diploma in Child Care and Education is a full time 2 year course offered by The Chiltern College. The Qualification is split into 3 parts, which are the Award, The Certificate and the Diploma.

Throughout the course you will study a wide range of subjects. These will include child development, caring for children, play and learning and developing professional skills within children's education, nutrition and healthy food for children, working with children with special needs and working with babies from birth to 12 months. You will also gain practical experience in a range of settings, both in our own nurseries and in other carefully chosen nurseries and schools within the local area.

To successfully achieve the qualification you will complete a range of assignments and research projects, a short answer test paper and a wide range of practical placements.

Alongside this qualification you will also study for our own Chiltern Certificate Award.

The CACHE Diploma is accredited to a maximum of 360 UCAS points (dependent on the grades achieved) and can be used to gain entry to university for degree courses such as teaching, midwifery and paediatric nursing.

All students who study for the Level 3 Diploma in Child Care and Education will also study for our own Chiltern Certificate alongside their CACHE qualification.
