Children's Care, Learning & Development CACHE NVQ Level 2

About the course:
A course for candidates wishing to gain a qualification for working with children 0-16 years.

Course Content:
Units will cover aspects of children's development, for example: Child protection, safe environments, types and provision of play, communicating with children and adults, carrying out observations on children's development. The Level 2 qualification consists of 5 mandatory and 1 optional unit.

Equipment Requirements:
You will be required to supply adequate paper, pens, ruler to enable participation in all theory classes.

Assessment:
This is a 1 year course that is assessed through written questions and direct observation.

Progression:
Students can progress onto the CACHE NVQ3 Children's Care Learning & Development.

Additional Information:
Candidates will be required to study literacy and numeracy level 2 qualifications to progress onto the CACHE NVQ3 Children's Care Learning & Development if they do not already have them.

Information & Guidance staff have discretion to enrol, you must bring a confirmation letter for your work hours and proof of work experience.
