You will study how children develop, learn and play, and how to work as a childcare practitioner. You will gain practical experience in a range of placements.
About the Course
This course prepares you to work, supervised, with children and their families in a variety of settings within Children's Services. You will spend at least 65 days in placement as well as your day in College.
Course Aims
To prepare you to become a childcare practitioner working with children up to 16 years.

You will complete a range of written tasks, produce a portfolio and sit 2 multiple choice tests.
Are there any resources to obtain?
Although you may wish to buy a textbook, we do not recommend purchasing materials prior to the course recruiting a viable enrolment.

You will work with others in a room with your teacher, text and computer based resources plus placements.
