The course/qualification is designed for those who manage or supervise in an area where food is prepared, cooked and/or handled. Food safety training is fundamental in the preparation and preservation of essential skills in the workplace. It is important in enabling employees to deliver high quality food to customers safely. The CIEH Level 4 Award in Managing Food Safety covers the following topics:

  • Ensuring compliance with legislation and industry guidance
  • Food safety hazards
  • Allocation of responsibilities
  • Managing the operational requirements of a safe food business
  • Cleaning and disinfection regimes

All candidates will be required to complete two work based assignments and then to complete an end of course exam.
