CIMA is the only international professional qualification with a syllabus and examinations structure that focuses solely on the education and training of management accountants in business. As a CIMA - qualified management accountant, you will have a great understanding of finance and business. You'll use both to assess business possibilities and shape the future of your organisation. The skills you develop through your CIMA study will give you a lot of choice in your career. You'll be able to work in a wide range of industries and sector. CIMA members work in diverse areas like business analysis, management consulting, operations management and project management to name a few. Many of the world's top finance directors and chief executives are CIMA members. The Advanced Diploma is the first tier of the professional CIMA qualification and follows three pillars of study - Business Management, Financial Management and Management Accounting.
Each pillar of study has two external exams of 3 hours duration. This course will require substantial commitment to home and work based study as well as a minimum of 90% attendance for the required skills to be achieved by the candidates.
The course will run for an 18 month period with exam sittings available in June and December of each year.
