Health & Safety Awareness
Every person who works in the construction industry, no matter what trade or profession must have a good understanding of matters associated with health and safety. This course is designed to give any industry worker that understanding and can lead them to more advanced training as detailed below.
What does the course involveAnyone can attend our regular open courses on the south coast or you can ask for the training to be delivered at your site. We can even provide you with a version of the course through our online training portal
The course has the following components:
- Identify the main causes of accidents in construction.
- State the main requirements of the Health & Safety at Work etc Act 1974.
- List basic requirements of the CDM 2015 legislation.
- Identify the main hazard in construction and how to apply simple control.
- How to carry out simple dynamic risk assessment.
- How to complete a basic method statement
This course covers the requirements for the CSCS (green card) test. There is a multi choice question paper at the end of the course
