You should have successfully completed PC Maintenance at Level 1. All students will be expected to undertake initial diagnostic tests at level 2 in English, Maths and IT.

Course Content:
You will study the following modules at level 2. Core Units: Unit 1 - Software Components Theory; Unit 2 - Design Software Components; Unit 3 - Test Software Components; Plus 1 other core unit and one Optional Unit.

This course is designed for potential Software Developers. For full certification you must pass all modules. Some of the units will be externally moderated and assessed. Examinations are on-line multiple choice tests.

Progression:
Successful level 2 candidates may progress to relevant level 3 programmes in Software Development or gain employment in an IT service industry or a Computing Environment.
