City & Guilds NVQ 3 Professional Cookery

Due to the broad range of dishes covered in this course, students applying must already be working with the industry to at least an NVQ Level 2 standard.

If there are any doubts or concerns the course tutor can advise.

1 1/2 hrs Health & Safety Lesson.

1 1/2 hours Food Studies Lesson.

3 1/2 hours practical Lesson including the following units:

Prepare, cook and finish complex fish dishes.

Prepare, cook and finish complex meat and poultry dishes.

Prepare, cook and finish complex cold sauces and dressings.

Prepare, cook and finish complex vegetable dishes.

Prepare, cook and finish complex soups.

Prepare, cook and finish complex hot desserts.

Prepare, cook and finish complex cold desserts.

Establish and develop positive working relationships in hospitality.

Maintain the health, safety and security of the working environment.

Maintain food safety when storing, preparing and cooking food.

Prepare, cook and finish healthier dishes.

Cook and finish complex hot sauces.

When will I receive my results?

Results will be forwarded on as soon as they are received at the college. Please note that certificates, where awarded, can take up to 4 months to be received at the college before forwarding on to learners.
