This is an entry level course for those who are interested in a career in horticulture. It is suitable for students with moderate learning difficulties and / or disabilities. The award is offered at Entry Levels 2 and 3 and focuses on a variety of horticultural vocational activities. It will provide students with the basic practical skills and knowledge to either gain employment or progress to further training. It will also help develop common, social and interpersonal skills and widen life experiences.
Practical work is carried out in Victorian Walled Garden and surrounding parkland within Croxteth Park.
Entry Criteria / Additional InformationStudents need to be 16 or over and have an interest in a practical subject to qualify. No previous qualifications are required and the College provides support for those who have learning difficulties and disabilities.
