This qualification is designed for learners who are working in the cleaning and/or environmental services sector. It offers learners the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge required to prove competence at work. It will also suit learners who are competent at core cleaning/environmental services activities and are looking for ways of developing their existing skills and knowledge, perhaps to support multi-skilling or to assist in promotion. This qualification is: „ nationally recognised „ based on the Local Environmental Services National Occupational Standards (NOS). The NOS, assessment strategy and qualification structure are owned by Asset Skills. Suitable for: Primarily aimed at those with operational roles in amenity and facilities maintenance. This qualification is for all learners aged 16 and above who are capable of reaching the required standards. The qualification is a stand alone qualification but also can be part of an Intermediate Apprenticeship framework. The qualification is designed for learners working in the cleaning and/or environmental services sector. Various job roles can be attached to this course inc. cleaners, ground maintenance, and amenity horticulture etc.

About this course

Achievement of this qualification requires a minimum of 20 credits. 7 credits must be achieved from Mandatory Suite A, one unit only (a minimum of 2 credits) must be taken from Optional Suite B, a minimum of 3 credits from Optional Suite C and a minimum of 8 credits from Optional Suite D to complete the qualification.
To pass a unit the learner must: achieve all the specified learning outcomes, satisfy all the assessment criteria by providing sufficient and valid
evidence for each criterion plus show that the evidence is their own.

This qualification is designed for learners who are working in the environmental or amenity/horticultural services sector. It provides a means of accreditation for those whose roles cover from cleaning and amenity horticulture to maintenance. Learners are offered the opportunity to
develop skills and knowledge required to prove competence at work.
