About this course

- Identify some common reflexology points on the feet and hands
- State some reasons why a person would not be able to receive a reflexology treatment
- Safely give a basic foot massage to another person
- Treat yourself with some basic hand reflexology points for stress relief.

- Benefits of reflexology and when it might be advisable to avoid a treatment
- Basic history of reflexology
- Relationship between the feet and the rest of the body
- Massaging the feet - practical work in pairs.

- Presentation and Lecture - Group discussions and pair work - Questions and answers -.Practical work in pairs – massaging the feet or hands. All relevant theory information will be provided on handouts Please bring the following items: powder, wet wipes, 2 plasters, a bath towel and some writing materials.

Additional information

ITEC Holistic Massage Diploma or ITEC Diploma in Complementary Therapies and other massage based courses e.g. Aromatherapy, Shiatsu.
