1. Communicate effectively in the workplace 2. Develop yourself in the job role 3. Reduce risks to health and safety in the workplace 4. Work with others and follow reporting procedures in a cleaning environment 5. Work individually and follow reporting procedures in a cleaning environment 6. Clean and maintain internal surfaces and areas 7. Clean and maintain external surfaces and areas 8. Deal with routine waste 9. Clean washrooms and replenish supplies 10. Clean high risk areas 11. Clean confined spaces 12. Clean food areas seebelow for further optional units. Suitable for: The qualification is aimed at those new to the industry or for those who are experienced but have no formal qualifications in this area - suitable for cleaners, caretakers, facilities supervisors, those that work with food, and also those who work for local authorities amongst many. This qualification is also very suitable for Window Cleaners as it allows units to be taken to demonstrate competence in using water-fed pole systems etc. Also for street cleaners using manual and or machinery. A versatile qualification that is flexible by what optional units taken to fit job role.

Course programme

This qualification is designed for those working in Cleaning and Support Services.

Its purpose is to provide accreditation to those able to demonstrate competence against the occupational standards defined for cleaning and support services at this level.

Candidates will need to complete a total of 18 credits to be awarded the full Level 2 qualification.

The qualification is very flexible and by choosing optional units candidates can make the qualification suitable for a very wide selection of job roles and functions that are not just restricted to cleaning but those of outside and waste plus also specialised units for specific job roles such as cleaning confined spaces and working at heights, using manual and/or machinery etc.
