PROGRAMME CONTENT/STRUCTURE
The CompTIA A+ certificate is aimed at people who currently work as, or intend to work as PC technicians, field service technicians, or IT administrators. The course covers both the theoretical and practical elements of how computer components work, hardware and software, health and safety, fault diagnosis and repair and customer service skills.
Natural progression from this course would be to the CompTIA Network+ and then to either the Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) course or MCSE, (for those wishing to specialise in Supporting Microsoft products) or to the CISCO Certified Network Academy (CCNA) for those who would prefer to specialise in CISCO Networking. The A+ will count towards units of the MCSE.
