Confined Space Awareness

The Confined Spaces Regulations set out the requirement for suitable and sufficient training for persons who enter confined spaces during the course of their work

If you are going to work in or enter a confined space you need to know what hazards can occur since you may be faced with them at some time during your working life. It is important that you understand the nature of these hazards, what harm they can do and what you can do to prevent it.

• To train and assess personnel in the skills and competency required for them to understand the hazards associated with work in confined spaces and to enable them to identify suitable control measures to adequately control the risks associated with these hazards.
• On completion of the required course the delegate will have the knowledge and skills needed to be able to enter, work and leave a confined space safely.

Upon completion of the course the candidates will have an understanding of confined spaces and the associated risks.

They will be familiar with the concept of the risk assessment of a confined space entry and the development of suitable entry and rescue procedures.

This assessed and certificated training course is intended for personnel (Managers, Supervisors and Operators) who are required to either manage or undertake work that is being completed within a confined space.
