Distinguish counselling skills from counselling
Identify the person-centred core conditions
Identify the relevance of counselling skills for SLTs
Describe the difference between ‘being’ and ‘doing’
Reflect on your use of paraphrasing, reflecting, summarising and questioning
Identify areas of strength and need from self-reflection and feedback received.

City Lit has a 3 day 'Effective counselling skills for SLT’s course’ which may be a useful next step if you want to do further work in this area.
