About this course
There are no formal entry requirements, and you do not have to have any prior knowledge of Web Authoring. As the course is computer-based, you will need to have some basic IT skills.

Course Overview
This course is aimed at beginners who wish to develop Web Authoring either for pleasure for promotional activities or for business.
Course Structure
Using popular Web authoring packages such as Dreamweaver, learners will create, add content, test and finally publish their own website to be used as a promotional tool for freeland professionals such as photographers, small businesses, or as a means of gaining entry level to new developing technologies.
Learners will:
- Explore website structure
- Plan a website structure
- Create and add content to a website including text, lists, tables, graphics and moving images.
Qualification Aims
College Certificate of Achievement. The skills you develop may count towards enabling you to study web design at level 2 or 3.
Assessments/Examinations
There is no final exam or test. Assessment is based on a final review of your website against your aims and objectives.

Course cost:£250 (no concessions)
You will need to supply a memory stick or removable USB storage media of at least 1GB
