This course would benefit the advanced amateur photographer, who would have a back catalogue of images that he or she would like to find a market for, or would just like to exhibit more widely. It would also benefit the intermediate photographer who wishes to improve their image-making, as it would demonstrate simple Adobe Photoshop and other creative processes, as well as reviewing top quality and inspirational photographers†work.
Course topics
- Review of established picture libraries
- Review and critique of students†best work ie personal back catalogue
- Looking at consistently top-selling images, with emphasis on finding gaps in the market
- Processing raw images
- Creative photography: Using filters, different lenses, composition, shooting raw images and selecting a genre eg landscape, reportage & abstract
- Local galleries, and other opportunities to exhibit work
- Setting up websites: from Myspace to personal.com sites & self-promotion
