Crew Resource Management

Course summary:
The Crew Resource Management (CRM) course is offered by WrightWay Training Limited in conjunction with South Tyneside College.
The course focuses on attitudes and behaviours and how these impact upon safety. Participants are encouraged to examine their own behaviours and realise for themselves how teamwork can be improved.
This five day course is designed principally for ship†s officers and company managers.

Course content:
The course comprises a series of lectures on the different aspects of CRM as follows:
Leadership and management
Communication
Human capabilities and Limitations
Decision making
Human error and human reliability
Fatigue and stress

Simulator exercises are run to reinforce, demonstrate and illustrate points raised in the theory sessions.
