Course programme

After a brief introduction to the nature of medieval law, we will look at a range of sources in translation to see what
crimes were being committed in both town and country.

PowerPoint will be used to illustrate key points and we will read and discuss extracts from contemporary sources (in translation). You will be encouraged to share your thoughts and ideas in a relaxed and friendly environment.
