Additional Information: Students will ideally be studying Level 3 courses alongside the Critical Thinking AS Course. An open-minded, committed and motivated attitude to work and study is also essential.

COURSE OUTLINE
AS Critical Thinking is completely different to any other AS course, since it does not involve any subject-specific content.

AS Critical Thinking teaches you essential skills of reasoning, argument and analysis that can be applied to any area of study. These skills could be called semi-philosophical, since the course is about teaching students how to analyse problems and topical issues in an informed manner. Learning these skills will also help you to do well in your other subjects. You will also learn how to formulate arguments and how to identify false arguments.
