Employers, their managers and employees can be held personally to account for breaches of Health and Safety legislation and for failing to fulfill their duty of care to others. Individuals can go to jail or be fined, many people do not realise that being found guilty of breaches of Health
& Safety legislation can lead to a criminal record. Ignorance of the law and of your individual responsibilities is not an accepted defence.
