Diploma & Advanced Diploma in Contemporary Psychotherapy

Course Structure

The Diploma programme is ongoing and is made up of various modules of training and clinical practice as listed below. Upon successful completion of the Advanced diploma, as an accredited Psychotherapist you are then eligible for UKCP Registration.

• Foundation -20 days of face-to-face in-depth training at Foundation level in Contemporary Psychotherapy and Systemic NLP.
• Intermediate - 20 days of face-to-face in-depth training at Intermediate level in Contemporary Psychotherapy and Systemic NLP.
• Ethical Practice - 3 days of training in the ethical practice of psychotherapy.Essential for anyone working with clients or thinking about setting up in practice.
• Clinical Practice & Comparative Psychotherapy -This is the over-arching 24-month module of the Diploma that spans your transition from trainee to professional Psychotherapist. Combines distance learning plus a 3-day workshop with Judith Lowe and Judith DeLozier in alliance with PPD Learning. Supervised clinical practice is an integral part of this module.
• Wider Mind; Ericksonian Hypno-Psychotherapy in Practice -5 days of training during which you will develop the principles and skills to be most respectfully effective in stimulating and engaging your client’s wider consciousness in their therapeutic process.
• Working Successfully with Addictions - 5 days of training during which you will learn a contemporary model that unifies the main approaches to dealing with addictions and dependency.
• Psychopathology - 3 days of training that will heighten your awareness of the wider mental health community and your rol within it. Also includes recognising when individuals are severely disturbed and outside of limitations of own practice as a Therapist.
• Introduction to Postgraduate Research Design-3 days of invaluable training that will prepare you for research in Psychotherapy.
• Human Development & Sexuality - 3 days of training on which you will gain a knowledge and understanding of the development of humans from infancy to old age.

Assessment

There are ongoing and end of module assessment procedures designed to inform the trainee and the Trainers of areas of strength and areas for development.
