Course description The level 3 Diploma course prepares you for a career in the Health and Social sector.Social care is about helping people with a particular need such as the disabled the elderly or people with learning disabilities. Entry requirements You must have experience in Health and Social Care and preferable be working in a senior role involved in care planning and supervision of staff.You will undertake a enhance Disclosure Application; this will be applied for by your employer. All students will attend an interview were you will complete an initial assessment to determine your suitability and support needs. You will undertake and require a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure Application. 4. Equipment required No equipment required 5. Assessment method Students will attend Middlesbrough College one day a week to complete the knowledge evidence. You will also have the opportunity develop your practical skill through our mock NHS wardThe student will be observed in the workplace by a college assessor who will assess their performance against the assessment criteria of the qualification / unit. Tutors / assessors will use a variety of assessment methods which will include assignment work questions professional discussion witness testimony case studies and reflective accounts. Assessor observations will take place in the candidates place of work.All students will have an electronic portfolio; this will be used to submit all evidence which will be assessed with assessor feedback and guidance.
