Studying in our professional training environment at Sports Village in Woodley, you will learn the skills, knowledge and competence required to work as a personal trainer. Overview
Studying in our professional training environment at Sports Village in Woodley, you will learn the skills, knowledge and competence required to work as a personal trainer. The course covers anatomy and physiology, sports conditioning, the principles of exercise and fitness, programming and nutrition, instructing and adapt personal training sessions. In addition you will learn about effective working relationships with clients, health, safety and welfare in the fitness environment and planning and delivering a group exercise sessions.
Entry Requirements
Level 2 in Fitness Instruction or equivalent GCSE English and maths at Grade C or above or equivalent level of English and maths.
Course Duration
One year – Full time.
Skills and Benefits
You will learn about Standard Operational Procedures in the Health and Fitness Centre and different exercise approach. The course is designed to enhance your knowledge (theory) and improve your Technical Skill (correct instruction with clients) in the practical session in the Gym. You will learn how to evaluate, and develop your own skills and qualities to become a competent Personal Training.

Portfolio of Evidence, Practical Assessments and End Tests.
Progression
Once you completed your Level 3 Personal Training course, you can progress onto Level 4 Master Personal Trainer, if you wish to work with Special Populations (Diabetes, Lower Back Pain) or you can apply for jobs in the Fitness Industry, as a Personal Trainer.
