2. Course description This full Level 3 Diploma course is ideal for those who have achieved the Level 2 qualification, wish to further develop their professional skills and knowledge and undertake a Level 3 course that includes four additional units as well as the units studied for the Level 3 Certificate. The course will build your confidence and awareness around your role and responsibilities, as well as equipping you with a range of skills, knowledge and experiences to enable you to excel in your job. You must be working in Primary or Secondary education (not Early Years) for a minimum of 8 hours a week. Applicants should be confident in their use of IT (Word/PowerPoint), and will be invited to a pre-course interview to determine suitability for the course. All Level 3 learners will need to attend an induction session on Thursday 29th September. Learning Loans and instalment payments are available to cover course fees.

3. Entry requirements You should have a paid placement for at least 8 hours per week in an infant, junior or secondary school, and be able to demonstrate written and communication skills at Level 2 (GCSE A*-C). You will undertake a short pre-course interview and task. 4. Equipment required There are no additional costs for this course. 5. Assessment method The course is assessed at Level 3, and this is through the production of written coursework, presentations (using ICT), as well as in-class discussion. You will also need to be observed at least once in the workplace undertaking the Teaching Assistant role.
