About this course
-direct actors in a scene.
-Adapt your style to suit different playwrights and texts, from Classical to contemporary.
-Identify your style and director’s voice.
Sets of plays will be provided but if the you wish to have your own copy you must buy them. The choice of plays will be announced in advance.
Group work and pair work depending on cast requirements of each play.

As part of the course content, your tutor may record your image for initial and ongoing assessment purposes. You are entitled to decline to participate in the recording of your image.

Course programme
This course will add to your knowledge of plays from the past to present. We will look at a selection of plays not dealt with in Beginners, from Shakespeare to Chekhov.
We will continue to look at the rehearsal process and you will get a chance to direct fellow students and volunteer actors.
Please note that acting classes by their very nature can involve exercises and the exploration of material that some students may find challenging.
