There are no formal entry requirements but candidates will take an initial Literacy assessment prior to starting the programme, as a basic level of literacy is required in order to complete the assessments.

It should contribute to the government's 10-year strategy relating to reducing drug use nationally Tackling Drugs to Build a Better Britain, 1998 (updated 2002)
Assessments/Examinations
Candidates are required to complete written activities and written answer questions based on topics covered in modules. At the end of the course, candidates take a multiple-choice examination.
