Course Overview
This is a short self'study programme suitable for anyone who works in an environment where the use and misuse of drugs is an issue.

Qualification Aims
The programme is designed to increase knowledge and understanding of drugs and substance use and misuse. It offers an opportunity for personal development in an area identified by government policy as one requiring special attention.
It should contribute to the government's 10-year strategy relating to reducing drug use nationally Tackling Drugs to Build a Better Britain, 1998 (updated 2002)

Assessments/Examinations
Candidates are required to complete written activities and written answer questions based on topics covered in modules. At the end of the course, candidates take a multiple-choice examination.
