WHO IS IT FOR?
Teachers, tutors, trainers, lecturers and instructors who may be working within an FE college, Adult and Community Learning Centre or Learning Provider.
Those delivering work-based training such as within voluntary, community, private and public organisations.
Those who want a medium size teaching qualification
COURSE CONTENT
The course has a value of 36 credits and comprises of 6 units, including:
Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training
Planning to meet the needs of learners in education and training
Delivering education and training
Assessing learners in education and training
Using resources for education and training
Understanding and managing behaviours in a learning environment.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant vocational / academic qualification (a Level 3 or above)
- 30 hrs of teaching practice (paid or voluntary, to take place during the course)
- A good level of English (level 2 equivalent)
- Competent IT skills
