Content * Unit 1 (201) Working effectively and safely in the electro technical environment. * Unit 2 (202) Principles of electro technology. * Unit 3 (203) Applications of health and safety and electrical principles. * Unit 4 (205) Installation ( Buildings and Structures). * Practical Assessment for Unit 3 (204) * Practical Assessment for Unit 4 (206) Units 1,2 and 3 are taken in Year 1. Unit 4 and the two practical assessments are taken in Year 2 of the course. One evening a week is given ov er to practical work on different types of wiring systems. These include PVC/PVC, conduit, trunking, MIMS, PVCSWA and tray. Assessment City and Guilds Electro technical Certificate 2330 Level NVQ 2. This qualification is NOT enough on its own to gain skilled status as an electrician. To gain skilled status it is necessary to complete the NVQ 3 qualifications. Progression City and Guilds 2330 Level 3 NVQ.
