Electrical Installation C&G 2330 Level 2 1st Year (Evenings).(2010/2011)
Study Method:
Attendance required for 2 evenings a week over 2 a two year duration.
Duration :2 years - 2 evenings a week 6-9pm (re-enrolment required for 2nd year).
Who the Course is For:
For those working in the Electrical trade or wishing too convert/retrain. Individuals can complete their technical studies at College, but MUST obtain work in the Electrical field to fully qualify. Approx cost - 445 + 30 College Reg.
Assessment:
The course is assessed with on-line multiple chioce tests on 2 units ( Health & Safety - 201 and Science - 202).
Course Leads To:
Successful completion will allow progression onto C&G 2330 Level 3. It is essential that students attempting Level 3 are either employed by an Electrical Contractor or working with one, for practical evaluation purposes (NVQ3).

All practical activities are carried out within out start of the art workshops with theory work being a mix of classroom and assignment activities. The topics include:
Science of electrical engineering and provides an in depth knowledge of the wiring regulations (BS7671:June 2001).
The science topics cover electromagnetism and electric motors, alternators and other devices.
Illumination and types of lighting, AC theory, Cable sizing and Testing.
Regulations are thoroughly investigated and circuit parameters are produced from IEE tables.
