The Electrical Installations (Buildings and Structures) Diploma City and Guilds Level 3 course consists of three parts:



  • The science of electricity

  • Installation technology

  • The practical element of the job



Course Content
This level 3 course will provide the advanced skills and knowledge necessary to enable students to achieve the latest City & Guilds level 3 qualification. This programme has been specifically developed for delivery in a training environment using simulated conditions and designed to address the training needs of the modern construction industry.


Delivery is through a mixture of lectures, practical work, assignments and personal study.


Assessment is by a combination of simulated practical assignments, short-answer written examinations and multiple choice examinations.


As well as more advanced electrical skills and knowledge, this course places a great emphasis on the skills and practice of inspection and testing and fault diagnosis and rectifications.

Entry Requirements

Successful completion of the Electrical Installations (Buildings and Structures) Diploma City and Guilds 2365 Level 2 or the Electrical Installations Technical Certificate City & Guilds 2330 Level 2.



Course Progression

Successful completion of the level 3 qualification may enable those who have gained suitable employment to progress to the City & Guilds 2357 NVQ and gain JIB registration.
