The aims of first aid, & the role of the first aider; Manage an emergency using appropriate first aid equipment; Prioritise injuries and administer appropriate first aid; Basic life support (CPR) in accordance with Resus Council guidelines (2010); Supporting an unconscious casualty; and Signs and symptoms of important first aid emergencies (including heart attacks, stroke, severe bleeding, shock and choking). Suitable for: Anyone who is, or would like to be, responsible for first aid in the work place, or would like to improve their own life saving skills.

Accredited by NHS Hastings and Rother (a training provider approved by the Health and Safety Executive), this one-day course is appropriate for many workplaces. The course reflects the most recent 2010 Resuscitation Council Guidelines and covers CPR/resuscitation, dealing with unconsciousness, bleeding, broken bones, burns and core first aid emergencies.
Includes a first aid manual, light lunch and certificate valid for 3 years.
