The EMT course here at Lusty Glaze is an in-house course for staff which has some spaces available to the public. As well as incorporating all the basic aspects of life support and first aid, the candidate is taught the following: advanced patient assessment, including blood pressure, blood sugars and oxygen saturation; airway management incorporating aspiration and OP airway use; oxygen and entonox administration; defibrillation; paediatric life support; spinal casualty management; fracture management and elements of drug awareness.
