To enable candidates to respond in the correct manner to medical emergencies, including how to stay safe, when and how to call the emrgency services, dealing with conscious, unconscious, breathing and non breathing casualties, dealing with bleeding and minor injuries, common medical conditions along with basic accident reporting and what should be in a first aid kit. Suitable for: Persons requiring basic first training, particularly with a view to being an appointed person in the workplace or in a recreational capacity with a duty to respond.

About this course
There is no pre-requisite for this course, candidates need to be a minimum of 16 years of age and be able once taught to demonstrate how to put a casualty into the recovery position and demonstrate resucitation on a simulated patient.
