Energy Efficiency for Domestic Heating (Part L)

Building Regulations 2005: Part L

Changes to the Building Regulations (Part L) in April 2005 made it a requirement all new domestic boiler installations shall be condensing models (with some exceptions).

This training programme will help heating installers and engineers to understand:

* the relationship between energy use and climate change,
* the new changes to the Building Regulations, and
* how the changes will impact on installers’ day-to-day business.

Successful completion of the course allows installers to self-certify that their work complies with the new Building Regulations.

Additional information

Support: Career Development Loans (CDL) are available to mature students (over 25 years) for certain training courses to cover 80% of the course fees with deferred payments until completion of the course.
