"Entry Requirements
100 - 140 UCAS tariff points. All courses require 5 GCSEs at A-C including Maths and English. Applicants who do not fulfil the above entry criteria will be considered on an individual basis, taking into account other factors. 



International students are required to have English language proficiency level to IELTS 6.0.

If you want to start a career in the engineering industry, this course aims to provide you with the fundamental knowledge and skills in a range of mathematical and business principles, as well as the theories and concepts of electrical and mechanical engineering. If you successfully pass all modules you can continue your studies with us on to the HNC, HND or BSc (Hons) Degree in Combined Engineering.

HOW WILL THIS COURSE BE TAUGHT?

These courses will be taught through a variety of methods – lectures, tutorials, self-directed learning, textbooks, module webs, scenario based learning sets, professional libraries and resources, journals and case studies, seminars, discussion forums and peer-to-peer learning.

TEACHING CONTACT HOURS

As a full-time student a normal learning block will mean that you get 18 hours of teaching each week in groups of approximately 25-50 students. Depending on the course you have chosen, you will attend morning (9.00-13.00) or afternoon (14.00-18.00) sessions. You will also need to attend one 2 hour tutorial each week.
