English Language

Undertaking the GCSE English language course will take you back to the basics, where you would learn the rules of grammar and the intricacies of punctuation.

You will also learn to write concisely and with clarity and will apply this knowledge to a number of practical writing tasks, such asreportand letter writing. This will allow you to increase your command of English and to express yourself more confidently.

The study of English is about more than business, and to broaden your skills and confidence you will also study a variety of texts as part of the GCSE English course, analysing content and writing style. You'll also work on developing your own style through a number of creative writing exercises.
