What will I learn?
This course consists of units that relate to finding out about customer services provided by Salons, basic Salon reception duties and how to carry them out, personal presentation and how this affects the salon, health and safety practices within the salon and an insight into industry and occupational awareness. Also English lessons and tutorials with personal tutors.

How will I be taught?
This course has practical sessions delivered in Commercial Hairdressing and Beauty salons with theory being delivered using state of the art interactive whiteboards and ICT provision to help with assignments. One to one tutorial support is provided by industry qualiifed lecturers with up to date knowledege of new and emerging trends. Online English exams are taken near the end of the course.

How will I be assessed?
Assessment is carried out by Practical Observation, Oral Questioning, Assignments and online test.

What could I do next?
You could progress to NVQ Level 1 Hairdressing or NVQ Level 1 Beauty.

How would this benefit my employer?
Employers will have junior employees and the possibility of staff going on to becomeing a full Level 1 junior
