Advantages of studying here

Evidence of recent developments and one which identifies us from other ambulance training providers is our unique partnership with Birmingham City University Faculty of Health. We have developed of a range of new Paramedic programmes which are due to be launched in January 2011. Not only does the University connection afford a level of repute above other training providers it also ensures that we fall under the strict Higher Education quality assurance measures. Embedding systems and procedures then becomes de rigueur for all managers and directors in the organisation which then transcends the whole faculty and students alike.

Description

ERS International Group Ltd has a proven track record of providing a wide variety of training courses to a diverse range of clients in the UK and abroad. We are able to move our faculty and equipment to any location and have in the past utilised NHS premises, government buildings, hotels and conference centres amongst others. Our bank of permanent and visiting lectures, trainers and assessors are located in many places in the UK, Spain and Libya. This gives us flexibility to move to where the client needs training to be provided and still provide a first class service.

The focus of our qualification provision is to develop and deliver approved and industry recognised awards that furnish students with the skills and ethos to practice safely and confidently. Priceless experience has been gained from exporting UK approved awards to the Middle East and has provided us with challenges to overcome and has allowed us to develop strategies which have made our organisation flexible yet stringent, adaptable and visionary. Clearly with the variety of qualifications we offer, methods of delivery cover the full range of proven teaching methods consistent with a modern educational ethos. As we continue to develop so these methods of delivery will develop accordingly with an increased use of virtual learning environments and managed online learning environments as well as mobile communication or “m-learning.”

The directorate is formed from a mix of clinical background with substantial military and ambulance service experience. Most directors have served in hostile situations and have an in-depth understanding of military organisations and systems. The remaining director and head of education have each over 20 years of frontline Paramedic experience in the UKs NHS and private sector. The synergistic effect of this mix of backgrounds, and the ability to work closely and empathetically as a dynamic team has led to a rapid development of the operational and training provision of the company. Of the senior managers of ERS, many are graduate level qualified and the first class BA (Hons) in Education & Training has given the Head of Education the understanding and relevance required to put into practice many of the modern theories of education and training.

Because our organisation is compact, flexible and efficient, we have always kept costs of training provision to a realistic level. Students can be assured of a cost effective route to their chosen qualification yet also be assured of first class provision. We fully appreciate that many ex military, NHS and private sector workers chose a patient centred vocation for the feeling of success they get from making a difference to the patient experience. Financial reward is often secondary concern and thus leaves the future of primary health care workers unable to afford unrealistic inflated prices from organisations wishing to capitalise on potential students’ altruistic motivation.
