ESOL Entry Level 1 - Full Time

Study Method:
You will study ESOL Skills for Life materials, work in pairs and groups and a use a wide variety of activities and materials such as CDs, DVDs, computers to help you learn. You will also have individual tutorials with your tutor to give you indvidual learning targets.
You will have access to the ICT Room where you can practice your pronounciation and listening and work on your grammar.
Duration :Full Time course over 3/4 days for 14.5 hours per week (days & times for this course to be advised)
Who the Course is For:
Speakers of other languages who need to improve their English.
Assessment:
You can do a Cambridge ESOL exam at the end of each term, if you are ready. There are exams in Reading, Writing and Speaking & Listening. You will also complete an Assignment each term.

Entry Requirements:
Assessment to be taken at either Rush Green, Barking Learning Centre or Learning Village
Content:
You will develop your English listening, speaking, reading and writing skills and improve vocabulary and grammar. You will learn computer skills combined with ESOL learning and use of video, digital camera and ESOL computer programmes.
You will be prepared for the national ESOL Skills for Life exams, which are in Reading, Writing and Listening and Speaking.
You will use computers to help learn English and to use Moodle, our virtual learning environment, which contains lots of information and activities that you can get to from any computer that has access to the internet.
