This European business-focused course is designed to meet the needs of students who wish to work in management with organisations engaged in business throughout Europe and globally.

WHAT WILL I LEARN?

The first year involves study in English at the International Business Academy in Kolding, Denmark or the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona in Spain, where you will be studying a range of topics in management along with other international students on the course.

During the second year you will study at the business school in Leuven, Belgium where the focus will be on business and marketing or languages. These components are also taught in English and include a business work placement opportunity (subject to application) in the second term, adding valuable practical experience to your academic learning.

The final year of study will take place at Coventry University. It will include study of European Business Management subjects at a strategic level. You can build on experience from the business placement and apply this to a broad business portfolio of subjects. You will also undertake a research project.

HOW WILL THIS COURSE BE TAUGHT?

Your course will be based on a series of lectures, with associated seminars and workshop practical classes. In addition, your personal tutor will review and discuss your progress with you and will be available for advice.

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?

The breakdown of assessment for your final grade is an average of those modules that you chose to study. Formal examinations are likely to represent 50-75% with the remainder assessed through a variety of different assessments to include coursework, tests and essays.

TEACHING CONTACT HOURS

In a typical week you will have up to 14 contact hours of teaching and this will break down as:

Personal tutorial/small group teaching: 1 hour tutorial on a regular basis

Medium group teaching: 5 hours of workshops or seminars each week

Large group teaching: 8 hours of lectures each week

Personal study: 25 hours including directed study and revising in your own time each week
