This course will help you to learn how to set up and create a Facebook profile, page and group, use them effectively and understand the differences between them. You will learn how to start a Twitter account, how to follow others and make your own tweets, including what you can and can't say! You will also learn how to use Instagram - how to set up an account, what to use it for, how to share photos and create stories.

About this course

• Introduction of Facebook, Instagram and Twitter• Setup a Facebook profile, page and group• Write effective posts• Create an Instagram profile• Share photos• Set up a Twitter account• Send tweets and follow your favourite tweeters• Manage your privacy and your account security• Stay safe and secure such as passwords, hacker accounts, spam, etc.

Please bring a folder with plastic wallets, pens and paper.

Each student has their own computer. Presentations will be made using computers, interactive whiteboard, overhead screen and printed notes. Step-by-step instruction, with demonstrations where appropriate, will help you grasp the concepts. Classes are taught in British Sign Language, and written English.
