About this course
No previous qualifications are required for this course at Level 1 as it is a beginner's course. However, students wishing to take Level 2 will require previous Level 1 qualification.

Who is the course for?
This is a course for those with an interest in developing dressmaking and tailoring skills.
What is the course about?
This qualification enables you to develop and extend a range of skills in the production of garments including; zips, fastening, hems, pleats and gain an understanding of working from trade patterns.
Will I need anything else?
You will have to supply your own material and patterns for certain elements of the course, however your tutor will advise you in more detail when you enrol.
How long & often do I attend?
The course is 2 hours per week for 30 weeks to gain a full NCFE Certificate in Creative Crafts.
How will I be assessed?
You will need to produce a portfolio of your work. Your tutor will advise and guide you in doing this.
What opportunities will this lead to?
On completion of this course you may wish to study an alternative programme within Creative Arts.
