In this practical course you will learn about the use and techniques of compositing in professional film making and create your own composited movie clip. You will learn how to set up, light and film effective green screen footage. You will then learn how to import the footage into the professional editing software Adobe Premiere Pro CC and create a short composited sequence using keying video effects.

Our high definition cameras and the latest professional equipment and software are available for your use throughout the course. It would be useful to bring a memory stick (or portable hard drive – please note PC formatted hard drives can be read by Apple mac computers, but not written to.) If you have a camera you feel comfortable working with then this could be an advantage, though not essential.
You will be taught using a range of techniques including workshops, short lectures, demonstrations, practical exercises, tutorials, group and individual assistance and hand-outs. Please note the City Lit uses Apple Mac computers in Animation, Cartooning, Digital arts, Film, Graphics, Illustration, Photography and Web design.
