This course is ideal for Adult Learners who want to develop their skills in Financial Literacy, e.g. basic budgeting, using bank services, learning about borrowing, saving and general money management. This is delivered as part of the Full Time 'Access to FE' (SFL) course, but is open for students who wish to enrol as part time.

No prior knowledge of the subject is required.
General literacy (At least Literacy Entry Level 1)is required.
An Interview and Initial Assessment of Literacy and Numeracy skills will be required.

Course Content
2 Mandatory units for Award are·Sorting out your finances·Making choices in paying for goods and services·Plus 1 optional unit for certificate.
Optional units include:·Your Income·Keeping track of your money·Costs in setting up a home

How will I be assessed?
There is no formal exam. A portfolio of work is built up week by week throughout the course leading to:·NOCN Entry Level Award in Financial Literacy (Entry 3)·NOCN Entry level Certficate in Financial Literacy (Level 3)

Financial Literacy Level 1 Award and Certificate
General preparation for employment and onto other further learning.
