First Aid at Work Certificate HSE

What will you be learning?
Holders of this certificate can be nominated as first aiders in the workplace to meet employers responsibilities under the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. The course covers: Principles of first aid; life saving skills; control of bleeding; shock; medical emergencies; head injuries and causes of unconsciousness; recognition and care of fractures; soft tissue injuries; spinal injuries; temperature-related injuries; eye injuries; legislation and first aid equipment. Assessment is written, oral and practical. The certificate is valid for 3 years. This course may also be arranged within organisations at a time to suit.
